Threaded inserts,where to buy?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,
Following a TBer suggestion,I'm posting the same question in this section.
My original post is:
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showth...=1#post2864371
(sorry mods if that's considered a crossing post).
Does someone where I can find such inserts?
My main goal,as I said,is to secure better some lousy PU's I got lately.I'm sure that Warwick and others use the same procedure.
Regarding the posted link,
http://www.rtlfasteners.com/RC/q.html
,I'm not sure that the're exactly what Warwick uses...as I recall, the Warwicks are not threadened on the outside but rather have a few strips for a better grip on wood.
I'd be grateful if someone could indicate me a source for these,as well as for some long, suitable screws (metric or royal,it really doesn't matter,as long as I could buy them together).
Regards,

Look at Woodcraft.com they have threaded inserts. Another idea is to plunge rout a small depression where you want the screws to go, and use T-Nuts. also available at woodcraft.
