Walnut & Maple singlecut

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a little project I'm currently working on.
A 5 string, with a 67 mm spacing at the bridge.
28 frets, and a super small body made of
Walnut wings, Birdseye maple fboard, Maple neck.

Hope you like it.

No comments? come on, it doesn't look that bad

Well, the fretboard is now attached to the neck, so fret slotting and radius (16") are up next.

Hey, I like maple and walnut, really nice combination!

one question:

how did you carve the transition? it looks kinda like chisels and gouges, then tidied up with a rasps and sandpaper?

True,
I only used one chisel for the job.
It has a 5 mm radius.

No
Heavy ABM bridge with 16.5 mm center to center.

About the weight I really can't tell..
Hope it's going to have a good balance though.

Nice piece of walnut.

I'm interested to see how that offset body will look in the end, and how you'll like it ergonomically.
