What color should I paint this bass?

I was thinking about metallic green or sea foam green. Maybe antique white.

I'm undecided on the knobs. Either chrome or black.

Stain it.

I'd vote for black against a dark or medium color and chrome against a light color.

I say green, orange or purple.

As for the knobs; Black knobs with purple body, chrome knobs with orange body, and either black or chrome knobs with green body

Solid color, not metal flake. Go and look up some cars from the 40s and 50s for color ideas. Stay with chrome. BTW - what about the headstock and neck - painted or natural?

Camo. It's the new pink. Black knobs.

I should have stated that I have a black and a red bass, The headstock has a Marvin the Martian vibe so that's why I'm leaning towards green. The metallic green is futuristic but the sea foam green and antique white has that retro feel.

Staining is out. It's a three piece body; plus I've already primed it.

In that case, Marvin helmet green seems like the only choice.

If the antique white you'd use has more of a brownish tint than yellow....Go white.

If you've got that "Marvin the Martian" thing workin'......may I suggest PPG Vibrance paint....Key Lime!

But! Hold onto your wallet!....This stuff will run you @$200 for a half pint of base color and 1/2 pint of the candy......Great color with all black hardware and DR Black Beauty strings.
