What if I want to sell a bass in TB...

Hi,
I made a prototype lately and now I'm about to sell it. I want to know what is the policy on Talk Bass for luthiers who want to sell an instrument. I've red that the F/S section is mainly for owners of used instruments which is not the case for me.

I don't want to promote my basses, I just don't want to get stuck with an instrument.

Thanks!
Bill

Consult the CUP sticky and also consult the Selling sticky on the sell pages. There are limitations to how/what you may sell as a Commercial User.

You'll likely get an infraction, that's what they did to me when I tried to sell one of my builds. The cup prohibits it, or I should say depending on the mod the cup prohibits it. You should ask permission first.

What about if the bass is used? For example: if I wanted to sell my Noah, which I gig all the time and it would be nice, but used (BTW, I don't want to sell it, just a hypothetical).

Does the CUP prohibit a used sale of one's work?

The best way to do it is to send a help desk ticket (click "contact us" at the bottom of any TB page and send a message). Get clearance from the forum mods and it'll be kosher. Get denied and you've at least got your answer. I have very little to do with enforcing the CUP elsewhere on the website, but I can tell you that it depends on the situation.
