What type of wood is this?

I'm looking for a body for a fretless neck I have and saw this. Curious of the wood used. The rings and grain seem too uniform to be ash. Anyone have an idea?

Doesn't look as 'grainy' as ash.

Alder.
Could be basswood or agathis, too, but probably not poplar. And definitely not ash!

A fine-looking alder body, from what I see.
