When do you not have a ground wire goin to the bridge?

I thought I heard you weren't supposed to have one if you were using active electronics. Is this true?....t

I am using a wooden/corian bridge on one of my instruments. There's no way to ground that.

theres quite a bit of grounding info in the p'ups forum.

One situation where you would not ground to bridge is if you use star grounding, which is what alot of guys here swear by.

Active basses have no need unless you have piezo, then all bets are off.
