another + for carvin there neck blanks are always so nice

Oh yes. I'm using a Carvin neck on my fretless build. Check their site; they seem to be a bit cheaper than the others, and their necks come with the nut pre-installed. I believe you can choose from their several headstock shapes, or a paddle head, for no extra charge.

Be aware, though, that their necks are a little bit longer than a standard Fender neck, so if you're looking for Fender compatibility, this will further limit your choices.
