Has anybody gone to Chataqua?
 

I'm sure I misspelled that, I wasn't really expecting for it to be affordable but I heard back today and I got in with a good scholarship. I think I'm going to go, really looking forward to it.

If any of you have gone, would you mind sharing what you thought of the bass faculty and the orchestra? I have been there countless times and I love the campus.

What is the housing like? Anybody else planning on going this year?

Hi Chris. I attended Chautauqua last summer, and had a blast. Curtis Burris is a fantastic teacher, and just an amazing guy. We also got to work with Owen Lee (because he is principal of the chq symphony) and that was a great experience. The section got along really well, and we played really good rep in orchestra. I learned a lot, and left feeling like I improved quite a bit.

Housing was fine. The dorms were old, but really convenient.

I highly recommend it. It was a great summer for me.
