I would like to note that Paul Schaffer of the CBS Orchestra is from Thunder Bay.

First of all a warning: I do not speak for the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra Association, my post has no legal or binding character.

The "word" is that Martin Blanchet won the audition.

The first round was behind a screen and he was the only one to move up.

He is currently my stand partner so his taking over my job leaves open the other position for which they will have to appoint someone until Martin gets tenure (rules and regulations, please don't ask because I don't understand them).

Since he was the only one to move up there was no actual runner-up, there is no clarity as to who will be appointed.
