I will try to be as clear as possible with that one.
When I come here at talkbass, I don't always have the time to check all the forum I am interested in.
Let's say, I just watch the bass forum and I leave, all the forums are marked as read. Now it would be could if only the forum that I watched could be marked as read. So after I watch the bass forum I come back later and I could read the thread in misc. that I didn't read the first time.
