Does anybody else feel the same way???? I was in the "bass" forum and out of the ~30 visible threads that aren't stickied ...........~1/2 are club/group threads. Do you feel there should be a "Clubs" or "Owners Groups" sub-forum or am I just being a club hater.

Edit - this phenomenon is mainly in the "Basses" sub-forum with a slight presence in "Amps"......This is what I am addressing, mainly the "Basses" forum with "Amps" thrown in to boot.

I agree. Hence I started the more than one club wont give me the time of day club. It has since faded into obscurity through lack of interest. To me its not that big a deal but the 19mm string spacing club? Thats when I start to think it might be going overboard.

+1, I've always felt those "clubs" were ridiculous. Basically it's just an excuse to put equipment info in your sig instead of your profile.

I tried to start the "Apathy" club but nobody cared.

I was going to start a procrastinators club but haven't gotten around to it.

I think the clubs are a good idea but only if we don't go overboard. For instance if someone wants to see the work of a certain luthier and their is a clube then they go to the thread and just looking at all the pictures is awesome. then once they find a pic of what they want they can read further. i am glad clubs are here.

I totally agree that a 19mm club is going overboard.

Yeah, bigtime. I think it hurts TB.

I formed this club as kind of a comment.
Single removable amp caster club!
It never took off. Dang!

I think they can be ok, although I am not part of any club.
It's just maybe going overboard with the sheer number of them.
