Search Function Problems with 3 Letter Minimum

I have been frustrated by the minimum requirement in the search function for 3 letters, but so many searches are for model numbers that use only one or two letters or numbers in the model name.
Is there a way around this?

You can use google to search. Try googling

site:talkbass.com sx

The first part limits the search to this website

Adding the ability to search for short 3 letter words may be too much load on the server and could return a bazillion results.

A "search with google" option could be added to the advanced search options to automate this.

Pull down the search menu to "Google Search TalkBass" for model numbers. "51 P bass" yields 15,600 posts. Use advanced Google Search operators to narrow things down if you like.
