"See entire thread" option?

I frequent other forums besides TalkBass, one of which has an option which lets you see all posts in one single page when a thread is more than one page long.

I find this a very handy feature, as threads can tend to get long.

I'm afraid this would probably put too much of a load on the server - to recall all the posts of a multiple page thread at once.... especially some of our famous megathreads...

Blackbird, Im sure you know this already, but you can set the number of posts in one page up to 40.

Its not much, but its the best peole like us can do to fight mulptiple page syndrome.

Ok, Paul. Just thought I'd toss the idea out there.

Jack. I remember a board version in which a user had the option to see a number higher than that. I seem to remember a hundred, but may be wrong. I had already set it to 40. Thanks for the thought.
