TalkBass Custom Moody Leather Straps??

Sign in to disble this ad
Would anyone be interested in a high-quality Moody Leather strap with the TalkBass logo on it, or a bass clef and "TalkBass.com"? (Or something else??) Moody contacted me about the idea a couple months ago - I'm considering the idea, but would like to get a sense of the possible demand for something like this before committing

TIA!

Do it, I'll buy at least 1, if not more.

I'm currently looking @ ~$50 Levy leather straps... if you do a simple leather 2.5" - 3" wide with clef and URL I'd hit for sure (actually I need 3!).

(I'm looking drk brown and burgandy... but I'll go black for a TB strap)

Don't wait too long though, I'm itchin' to buy

googled the address....

http://www.moodyleather.com/home.aspx

Nice stuff! I was looking for a tooled/carved leather strap but the Redwood with curry looks killer.

Count me in for at least one if it comes to be.

Alembic did that a few months ago. I picked up two of these straps and they are high quality.

You may want to verify which "part" of the company you are dealing with . Apparently there was a fairly nasty split of the two principle owners (husband and wife I believe....nasty divorce). There is a lot of detail on Alembic's website of the joys of dealing with one side and the horrors of dealing with the other.

Reading back through The Alembic Thread it seems as though "Moody's Leathers" is the "good side" of the split.

Peace,

James

Hmm, sounds cool. I just got a comfort strapp, but I'd very possibly be interested in the future.

I might be in.

What kind of price are we talking? $50? $100?

Well, since their wide straps are about $87, I would guess something around there.

I think I'll go for it Thanks for the input. I'm assuming most would be interested in the nice 4" wide strap, that's what I've been eyeing. I think the black/tobacco color scheme would be pretty universal...

Yeah, that color scheme looks good. What are you thinking? Bass clef with the URL written under it?

Not quite sure yet - either the clef/url, or the TalkBass logo without the basses, similar to what was on the stainless mug:

Any preferences?

I like that idea. The 4"/black/tobacco style sounds good, too.

I'm all for it! I'm going to order a new shirt here soon (my other one got quite the wear from gigs etc.), so if it happens son enough, I'll just order both at the same time... I should look in the store, see what other stuff I can get .
