What is so hard about...

closing your thread after you sell something? I really wish there was something that could be done about this. I know I am not the only one that finds it frustrating to be searching for something, click the tread and find it's sold. Not at the first post, but after 20. Can we all PLEASE get some manners and common courtesy around here.

Sometimes people have the gear listed several places, or has too many items for sale to remember exactly what sells when and close the thread accordingly.

I try to, but I've forgotten a few times.

I know, but all you have to do is search threads you've started, narrow it down to For Sale and check for the little lock. It's very frustrating as a "searcher" to deal with it all the time.

Once a thread reaches a certain age, the OP can no longer close it.

honestly, unless you have reading problems or it's hard for you to move your finger a little to click through a thread, there shouldn't be anything difficult about clicking a link and reading that something is sold.

i'd be more inclined to agree with you for threads where people that don't mark their items as sold.

Being able to lock a thread is a bonus that you won't find on many other forums, so it's possible that people don't know about the feature, either. i mean...c'mon...it's really hard to read the sticky threads at the top of the classified forums.
