When the board is down.....

After reading the newsletter i see the server may be down for as much as a week!!

Are there any plans for a temp board?
Free ones can be got at invisionfree.com and other places, dont have tb down for a week, that wouldnt be fair......

Actually for most users it'll probably be more like 2 days. The server'll be overnighted, and so the main waiting period will be however long it takes for your ISP to update it's DNS (DNS is like an internet address book that points URL to the server). Most ISP's are good about updating this fairly quickly - the longest take about a week.

I'll make sure and give y'all plenty of warning

Cool deal Paul. I've relocated servers a few times like this.

See if you can get the new IP addresses before the shipping, that way you can put through the DNS change prior to shipment. It'll ease the downtime a bit.
