Error on Forum shortcuts

I've been struggling with this for a couple of months. It happens on any forum that uses vBulletin.

When I click on a 'shortcut' (a graphic that jumps to first unread post, for example, or any shortcut to go to page _ ) I recieve the following error:

"Request Error (invalid_request)


Your request could not be processed.
This could be caused by a misconfiguration, or possibly a malformed request.

If you think you have received this message in error, contact Help Desk. "

I can then hit refresh, and it comes up immediately, which indicates (to me) that the url generated was correct to begin with.

I get this on:

Talkbass forums
Harmony Central forum
Birds and Moons Forum
Gear Page Forum
Big Soccer Forum

all use vBulletin. Interestingly, this does NOT happen on my home PC (same IE version and totally up to date patches on both home and work)

Seems I've made some headway on this. Enterprise network I'm on during the day uses a DNS cache. When they were performing maintenance and disabled said DNS cache, my problem went away.
