Hello.
I see all Jazz players pulling gazilions of cool chords out of thier ass but i can't find any tabs of there chords.
I know stuff like:

D|-16
A|-17 Learned from Jaco Pastorius - Modern bass DVD.
E|---

G|-6
D|-7
A|--- Learned from ???
E|-5

Sure, i know the jazz players have played bass for sixhundred years or so. But still...

Anyone in the mode to type chords for a 4 stringer? Or just link a hax page filled with them..

Well this is a start for you. You can move these about anywhere and the lowest note will be the root of the chord. I really recommend that you learn how chords are built if you don't know already then you can make your own.

The first one is Dmaj, I have shown you this as AMaj7. The second is just A, because the notes are A, A octave and the C#. So you don't really need to play the A on the 7th fret, this is a diad of a major 10th. If you move the C# on the G string down a fret to the 5th fret you have an interval of a Minor 10th.

Chord Bassics by Jonas Hellborg is a pretty good guitar case book. Also, check out Michael Dimin's site.

Yeah, those are from the top, D, B, and G, which create the G major triad. If you play these like arpeggios, you can use this "form" all over the fretboard. Have fun mate!

It is and try it like this. It will sound a bit clearer as the notes are not so close together.

G|16
D|---
A|17
E|15
