1001 Basslines - Talkbass

Sign in to disble this ad
Alright. So, this is a game of sorts. Tell me if yall think it's bad or not. Basically, it'll go as follows. We all post simple, or just, not anything overly complex, bass lines until we get to about 1001.

Tabs, or sheet music, which ever is posted is fine. the object is to get to 1001.

interesting concept. but perhaps a better thing to do would be everyone post their favorite songs to play in tab or sheet music form. i doubt this will get to 1001 basslines, but at least you tried. so i'll start up. i enjoy playing:

stevie wonder-superstition(http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...ition_btab.htm)

violent femmes-blister in the sun(http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/..._ver2_btab.htm)

sublime-what i got(http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...i_got_btab.htm)

I enjoy playing a lot of Rush songs, and since there will probably be a lot of postings of the usual suspects (Tom Sawyer, Limelight, etc) I'll contribute a little-known Rush tune. From Hold Your Fire, here is High Water.

I love Muse, and I found City Of Delusion to be challenging when learning it but really fun to play once you know it

There must be 50 transcriptions or more on this site:

Stu Hamm - Kings of Sleep intro. Really nice and soothing finger tapping song.
You hammer on and hold all the 'H' notes.
