Question 311 Creatures Bassline question.

Not a big fan of 311 (Dislike the rappy lovie dovey stuff), but they do have some catchy basslines. Anyway there is a line in their song Creature (for a little while) after the intro where all tab's I've seen say it is played:

Verse:

G: -------5-5----------------I
D: --3----------3-3----------I
A: --------------------2-3---I x 3
E: --------------------------I
B: --------------------------I

I've listened to the song and I can count no less than 9 notes in the riff rather than the seven shown. Also I netflixed their concert because it was really bothering me, and I saw that in fact P-Nut was playing these notes in the middle of the neck.

If anyone has a idea or can direct me to a site with some decent bass tabs I would appreciate it.

it sounds like seven notes to me

if he plays it higher up on the neck, then this could be the position
x3
-----------------------------------
--------10-10----------------------
----8-----------8-8----------------
----------------------7-8----------

the 4th time i think he does this
-------------------------------------
-------10----------------------------
----8------8-8-----------------------
----------------8-7-8----------------

Also I'm not sure if he hit the bottom string of his 5 string Warwick. But I'll try that tonight see if it feels right. Thanks for the tip.

He wouldn't hit the B string of his wick on that, the way Grueber transcribed it was having the lowest note on the e string he just moved everything down a string and up five frets, meaning that they are the same notes..
