86- Green Day

Hey,
Does anyone have the bass tab for the song "86- Green Day". Because i've searched around (since mxtabs has gone) and many versions are wrong. And on my guitar pro the bass tuning is like : F#,C#, D,G and i don't want to tune it like that.

So does anyone have a correct version which is G,D,A,E tuning? Thanks alot!

Cheers, Ben

Do you mean Eb Ab Db Gb/D# G# C# F#? You simply have to turn down all strings half a step to get that. There doesn't seem to be a way to play this in normal tuning, the song seems to have a lot of low Ebs, all you can do is play them an octave up.
I'd say unless you really want to play along with the recording, practice the song in standard tuning. When I started out, we used to play a bunch of Green Day songs and everyone ignored the Eb tuning because no one wanted to tune their axes down.

Or, you could use a program like "Best Practice" and play the mp3 up half step, so you can play along without tuning your bass down.

With GP, you can change the tuning to anything you'd like. I'd set it to drop-D, and it will adjust the notes accordingly. Faster to tune to drop-D in my opinion.
