The part I'm a little confused about is main verse riff. It sounds like he's playing a combination of E and B notes and harmonics. Such as
A -7--7-7-7-----------------------------------------------
E ------------7-7-7--0-0-0--(5)-(5)-(5)--(5)-(5)-(5) etc...
________________________harm.-------------------------|
and then:
A -7--7-7-7--7-7-7--7-7-7--7-7-7----(7)-(7)-(7)--(7)-(7)-(7) etc...
E ----------------------------------------------------------
_______________________________harm.---------------------|
Does anyone else hear it this way and think its correct?

Why is it impossible to get a shot of JPJ without what's-his-name jumping around in front of him?

Jimmy Started Zep, he wanted Entwhistle. He couldn't get out of his contrct. He done studio work w/ JPJ and he became the second member, they found Robert and he introduced them to Bonzo.
You want to see an intersting song go to John Paul Jones.com, go to multimedia and select "Tidal", It's from Guitar Wars in Japan. Ever see anyone play lead Bass on a 10 string Manson?

Page has my respect and then some. Just being a smart ass... I watched that vid (even though it made me install that vial realplayer). Awesome! That bass sounds like a monster! The whammy solo was, interesting. I would of rather heard the basses' own sound though. The begining made me laugh where he's like "...what else... oh ya, i was in led zeppelin".

Manson Guitars website has all of the Basses, Bass mandolin, and lap steel guitars he has made for him. Quite a batch and talk about some $$$$.

The sound of that entire album is killer all around. JPJ gets such a sharp grind from the 8-string and his pick. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
