Alice Cooper - Muscle of Love

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi I started on Muscle of Love a little while ago. I think the studio version is recorded with a fretless strung with roto 55's. Since it has a mahaa growl sounding slide over the verse. Not to complicated a song to play, but does have some cool use of octaves and root slides over the chorus. It's pretty straight forward R&R and I think it would be a great garage band song.

I searched high and low on the internet for a bass tab for this song and came up dry. So this might just be the first

Attached is the bass tab if anyone is interested - please let me know of any corrections. I really like that church choir singing "Holy Muscle of Love" at the end - crazy stuff man...

A correction - over the F# staring at 130 and 121 seconds. There a quick slide down to the F then back up to the F#. something like is shown below, listen and you'll hear it.

--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
-2-2-2-\-1 / 2 2 2--\-1 /-2-2-2-\-1 / 2 2 2 etc...

Also...

Right before the outro chorus, around 223 seconds, there's a faint quick slide up to the C on the E string from the F# (it's not very well heard under the guitar pick slide), so I'm thinking he must start the outro chorus on the 8th fret of the E instead of the 3rd fret of the A like I have written on page 3.

I hope someone finds this tab useful, at least the songs is fun to play

If anyone has tried to use the tab to play the song please provide comments, it's my first ever tab posted on the internet and I'm open to being flamed.

I played this song on a fretted bass the other night and have another correction. You know it's a little difficult to write out tab when you have a fretless, since tabs are all about what fretted note is being played

in The Outro Chorus starting about 225 seconds, 4th measure, the last two notes are 13 and 16 on the G string instead of 14 and 16 like I have written.

When I get time I'll post a new page two.

Thanks
