Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm No Good - bass

Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm No Good - bass music and TAB:

Anyone who doesn't like this song ought to seriously have their head examined.

One word describes the bass in this song: Smoove!

I did a long transcription because the guy plays each section differently each time they come up. And as this is for studying I felt that was important. That explains all the 1 | 2 sections and the CODA and stuff. Pretty much all my TAB's are like that.

Enjoy!

I was never big on Amy Winehouse until Back in Black popped up on one of my Pandora stations. Good stuff.

We play this live and it goes down well. The only trouble is the rest of the band always want to speed it up. I am destined to spend my entire life playing in bands who think that if a song isn't "working" it needs to be played faster.

Seriously, our live version of "Band of Gold" ends up sounding like speed metal.

Would that be Nick Movshon on bass? I love the smooth, fat and thumpy vintage sounds he gets,he's a real groover. If it's him (and it sounds like it) he also plays with the Dap Kings, Lee Fields, Charles Bradley, Black Keys, and others. Kind of a who's who of old school sounding soul and rock.

I'm not positive, but I think its him on bass, as the dap band was the session band for this album, IIRC.
