BASS & DRUM songs/bands

Sign in to disble this ad
Any songs/tabs for songs that feature just the bass and drums preferably something simple...like you'd use if the guitarist breaks a string and you don't feel like talking to the crowd for the next 5mins?

and are there any bands that feature the bass as the primary instrument where its mostly solos with light guitar and rums in the background?

Some Kind of Wonderful, Grand Funk Railroad.

Drums, bass, and vocal only all the way to the bridge ("Can I get a witness..") and then it's just the addition of an organ playing the chord.

We used to play it in "D" but who cares what key it's in.
IIRC
1-4-1-5-4-1 on the verse. The chorus altlernates between the 1-4
The bridge is 1-6

There were lots of Motown records that were bass and drums only.. big vocals though.

It's not exactly a simple song but my favorite song to play with on bass is "Battlestar Scralactica" by Incubus off the album Make Youreself. Its bass, drums, turntables, and a little guitar. Its a really great funky groove with a hip-hop feel to it. Whether or not its what your looking for, its deffinetly worth checking out.

Group X kick arse, check out the line for Ididoth too, hard on a 4 banger, a 6 would be easier
