Question Bass Transcription websites -- w/Notation (not TAB)

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm putting together a website of links to all bass transcription sites ... like Lucas Pickford's and similar ones. It will also have my transcriptions, too.

Please tell me your favorite transcription sites. Thanks!!

as in sheet music? There are very few of those around. Most players today use tabs (which I view as evil).

Yes, sheet music.

I agree. That's why I wanted to start a tab free zone. Haha.

this one used to have over 100 transcriptions. Very good, but it seem to be down. And my German is not very good. I have no idea what's written:

let me know when it's up... currently in the process of putting over 200 transcriptions onto my computer to start posting on a blog i've started.... http://www.rockstarsblog.com

it will have accurate transcriptions for bass, guitar, drums, and keys... some will be with tabs, but nothing will be up unless 100% accurate... no free reign from people who aren't good at transcription.

Anyway, I'd love to reference your site once it's up and vice versa. About to post the Coda section of The Ocean from How The West Was Won - by Led Zeppelin and JPJ... talk about a tutorial on walking and arpeggios... he's the man.

Finally something other than tabs. I'd like to put up some Jazz but don't know how yet.

I've collected a bunch of sites myself over the past year in bookmarks that I finally decided to put somewhere public, so I blogged it and came to find here where best to let other bass sites know. My interest is mostly R&B (starting with Jamerson), Funk, Soul, some Jazz, Latin, not so much Rock etc for now..

So much life, so little time… » Bass Transcriptions

Johnny Copland's site is in that list too..

I started a Rock Bass Tabs blog. Maybe I should also offer standard Notation transcription for the People who don' like tabs.
Thanks for the idea.
