My band just started playing this song. I have to say, I like the tab at Bass Masta a lot better than what you posted. I don't play it exactly like the tab, but my line is definitely based on the tab at Bass Masta...

IMO, it would be a bit awkward to play it using all of those open strings and lower fret positions, but if that's comfortable for you then go for it.

I would say the "D" & "A" are played closed (5th fret).

You may play it in open or closed positions. Doesn't matter. What ever suits the player.
I was more concerned with the actual notes and the rytmic patterns.
