Try as much as I can I cannot hear the bass in this song. I listenedto the live version (on Concert) and it sounds like you just slide from the top of the neck of the A string to C for the whole song. Does anyone here know this song?

A listen to the Rhino Studio demo version [one of the extras on the Pornography remastered CD release] is recommended; the bassline is much more obvious!

Verse is GBC.............GCB............. with an occasional DCB thrown in for variety and a ringing octave at the end of every couplet, which doesn't show up on the demo and was obviously added later. Oh, and there's a Bflat for the "just like the old days" bit, and the "Hundred years..." section is Gflat.

That's from a quick listen/play, so I'll throw in an accuracy disclaimer, but I'm fairly confident
