Delbert McClinton standing on shaky ground tab?
Anyone have a tab or transcription of this tune. (Not the temptations version)
You really don't need tab for that song. It's pretty repetitive.
Here's MarloweDK's tutorial on the Temptations version (much cooler bassline imo):
Yes, the original Temptations version is infinitely superior.
I agree the temptations line is more interesting still looking for the Delbert mc. Version. Any help, would be appreciated
The temptations blows this away, unfortunately my OLD band leader insisted we play the Delbert McClinton version due to the guitar solo. Lame in comparison.
There is a decent tab of the tempts version out there, do a search.
No argument from me the Temps version I'd the one!
Thanks for all the responses.
This song seems to be called out a lot at blues jams in my area. I have a lot of other songs that I'm working on right now otherwise I'd work on transcribing it myself. (Transcribing is not my strong suit)
I was just hoping someone might have the Delbert MC version tabbed out or better yet transcribed. This way I could spend a few minutes with it and be ready the next time someone called the song out.
And thanks bhunt1 for sharing the tutorial link. I've used other videos by him to learn songs. It helped me start transcribing use me by bill withers
The main bassline is not much different- the main difference is his version doesn't have the intro- and it goes to A then B at the one spot. Also, his player doesn't hit the high
octave as much.
