what is the bass line for this? im playin it this way but it just dont sound right when played with the cd. i dont think its tuned down. what am i doin wrong?

E --------5--3-------5--3-3--------

same fingerings now on the D and A string

Just listened to it, and it is in C. Your tab is correct for the parts of the riff (bars 1-4 and 7-8) where it's played. Bars 5-6 are almost the same as the others, only switched to D and A strings like you said, but the last two notes need to be G's instead of F's.

correct on the F's. to me what i play just sounds off. i cant figure out what. my tunein is fine, at least thats what the tu 2 says. somethin is missin. where are you stu cook, how about a lil help?

Make sure you're playing it with the right timing and groove. The line really has a lot of character, and if your timing is off even a little bit it loses quite a bit of it's effect. I can tell you 100% certainly that your tab is correct, except the two G's ending the line that begins on F which the other poster mentioned.

i got the F's. i just mentioned it wrong in the origional post. when i play it with other people it sounds fine. when i play with the cd it sounds off somehow. i like to play the songs like it sounds on the cd. little details drive me crazy. my friends say im to anal when it comes to small details.
