1st time posting here, but love trying to play bass. 44 years old and finally trying live my dream.m a bass whore , have 4 in 8 mounths, thunderbird goth, peavey milleniun, ibenes acustic, and a squire pj! also a line six bass pod, and 2 amps. just learning, so maybe stupied,know my bass's aint the best but m comfortable playing them, so does anyone know where I can find amarillo by morning bass tabs? or does anyone have them? thanks in advance.

These aren't tabs (country tabs for bass are rare), but it is the chords you need to play over the song. With country, you can usually figure out the bass lines pretty easy if you know the chords:

I actually figured out Johnny Cash's version of I've Been Everywhere like that. No tough task for any real bass player but, hey, it was a lot of work for me!

By the way. I took what I learned from some guys on this forum yesterday and was actually able to do some improvisation on the (common?) country style bass line from that song that didn't sound half bad.

hey e-mail me and i will send you my version of am,by,mor.i tabed out .all the notes or in the right placse you just need to work out the timing ect.

You will learn so much more and progress more rapidly as a bassist if you just use your ears and figure the songs out without tabs. Amarillo By Morning is about as simple as it gets.
