good songs for Bass and Alto Saxophone

Hey im just starting out bass and my friend plays the alto saxophone. So do you know any good songs that me and him could play together.

Depending on what you like, you might have soem fun with Watermelon Man, the old Herbie Hancock tune. It's a 16 bar blues that seems to sound good no matter what you do to it.

You can groove and your buddy can blow over the top!

check out Tom Scott and Grover Washington Jr. They've both got great stuff (they're both sax players) and always had slamming bassists live and in the studio.
