I don't want anything to hard,

Something just challenging enough for me to spend time and enjoy playing.

I really can't be bothered changing tuning to much it annoys me.

Bands like: In Flames, Lamb Of God, Slayer.

I don't usually listen to this kinda stuff but I though I might be open minded.

For most metal you're going to need to Downtune.

Try Learning anything by the Band Braindrill or Lethe by Dark tranquility.

I always jam allong to some Bolt Thrower, Slayer, Kreator, and Napalm Death.

None of these bands are super technical, but they really help me increase my playing speed.

Aside from that, i love old Cliff era metallica and, though i am a 4 string player, Blinded By Fear by At The Gates is my default "i don't know what else to do with this 5 string" riffer.

I haven't run into a Pantera bassline I dislike, play some Walk or pound out Cowboys from Hell. Also +1 on the Burton era Metallica.

Its groovy as hell. Its decently technical, and its not something everyone has heard 8billion times.

i agree with Yngwie4string on the sleep song though i cant find complete bass tabs for it. if i were you id also try out cannibal corpse for some speed and good lines

if you like the sleep song you might want to try some weedeater for some groovy metal lines

Try something off of Merctful Fate's early albums. The bass lines are crazy fun.

LAID TO REST BY LAMB OF GOD

i have tired to play this song over and over again but could never get there did this for like a year then finally worked out the way to play this song, i finally mastered the counting it out in your head thing and now our band is maybe thinking about doing this song as a cover, playing this song has given me so much more confidence on the bass, if anyone here says it is easy at full speed i will bash skulls

i have been playing bass for 12 years in all different genres of music goodluck
