Lots of tab out there (try Google) but I didn't notice any bass tab for the melody line.

There should be enough for you to figure it out, especially if you play guitar as well - if a bass tab version is really important to you, you could always contribute it back once you've finished.

Wulf

ps. If you do get a guitar tab, do ask if you're having problems translating it across

Here is the music: http://www.musicaviva.com/lute/music...sleeves-barley

You have to be careful however when it comes to playing this tune with someone else doing the chords. Several of the chords are really meant to be played "open" or with a very quick arpeggio. You need to find a recorded LUTE version to get the proper feel for those chords and the song itself. Don't wimp out and listen to a guitar or piano accompaniment version.

BTW, its got to be one of the greatest songs ever written for its longevity alone. Lute tablature versions of this song are dated as far back as the early 1500's.
