Tab? Not, yet.
I heard this song this morning on my local oldies AM radio station in my car. This tune has an interesting bass introduction and bass line. All I had to go on was a few lyrics. I did not know the group's name or the song title. I kinda remember the song's tune back in its day.
Google helped me out in identifying the title and the group's name - Pablo Cruise, by running the lyrics. The song came out in 1977. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Cruise
So, off to YouTube next, I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt_nOf4HjpY
So, this is the best I have found so far and this is enough.
Youtube has a few entries, the original group, various time periods, playing this song title. The username "infusion26" plays accurate cover tunes; but of his over 400 covers in his library, he does not have this one, yet.
Sheet music and a written bass line would be nice. I am still searching for more info. MusicNotes.com has sometimes helped me out in the past. Sometimes the bass line in a piano score will get me the basics. Then find the original CD in the proper key and dig out the rest by ear. Hal Leonard publishing has some pretty good books that have both tab and music notation. I just bought a book titled, "Bass Tab White Pages" ; it has 200 songs in both formats, but not this song.
Hal Leonard bass song books: (I don't think "Whatcha Going Do" is here) http://www.halleonard.com/search/sea...e=&subsiteid=7

Might try a public library's reference librarian and pick their brains.
Hope this helps you some.
My 1st post to the board. I saw your post, me researching same.
