The problem is I dont own the song, I can only hear it at my library, and they wont let me take my bass in. So I have to memorise the line first. then try to go home and play it, and Im good, but not quite that good... yet.

You can't check-out tapes and CDs from your library and take them home? I don't know where you live but that's one lame library system.

Dio rules. Have fun.

Shame on you. As a moderator you should know better and abide by the rules of the forum.

Thanks. I'm not a moderator in this forum.
Hey Smash, didn't mean to come down so hard and this isn't even my thread. But sometimes it's a little frustrating trying to use the tab forum with guys suggesting that we just listen and work it out for ourselves.

Tabs are just a tool, and some people are better at picking out baselines than others. Yes, learning bass lines by ear is a valuable skill that should be worked on, but sometimes we just need to learn a song quickly and need some help.

I remember this song from guitar or bass player yrs ago {like late 80s} ALMOST everyone plays this starting in C {3rd fret A string}
it was actually B {2nd fret a string} 2-4-5 if you want it played the "right way" guess it depends on your tuning to. Not that hard a tune really though.....come to think of it, I haven't heard Dio in a LONG time....god he can sing his a$$ off!!!!!
