How to play Kashmir

Anybody know how to play this? I'm struggling with just hearing the bass part. I found a site with this, what do you think?

Main riff:

G-------------7-7-7-----
D------------------------
A---5-5-5------------5--
E------------------------

Next riff:

G---7/9--7--5--------------------------------------
D-----------------7-------7---5-5--3-3---3-2-0----
A----------------------5---------------------------
E--------------------------------------------------

I heard there is no actual bass, JPJ uses footpedals and plays
a keyboard for it.

Not sure tho!

I play this exactly like the tab shows and it matches up perfectly with the guitar, keys and drums. It's hard to hear on the song, but if you play along with it you will see how well the line works, and its very simple. We played it live last month and the people were singing along and dancing!

Yeah dude, no bass part. Of course, there IS an evident bassline.

Play that.

Yup - no bass guitar part - JPJ plays keyboards on that track - live and on record!

John Bonham fills the holes with his huge bass drum sound !

Tried it last night with the CD. It works! I can't wait till Saturday to try it out with the band.

gonna resurrect this cause I decided to give my own shot at it...
found this tab here: http://www.bassmasta.net/l/led_zeppelin/159980.html

basically, it covers all the string ensemble parts on bass, sounds pretty sweet. With a light chorus or reverb over it, it's totally orgasmic. I bet it would sound even better on a fretless or an 8 or 12 string bass. I'll try post a recording when I get my bandmates together on it.
