I wish I had more time to talk about such an emotionally charged song and numerous interpretations of it.
Amazing Mica Paris in her own unique
way. She found her "note".
No need to mimic
any Janice or anybody else.
About Gilmour's harmonic vision of the song.
I don't like the Intro harmonic movement/development, which to me sounds detached from the song's main body.
I don't like the harmonic movement G - F - Eb - D (a la Ray Charles) in Verse.
I really don't like that MAJOR chord that follows the harmonic movement in Verse.
I truly believe that Gilmor's interpretation changed the song's essence so much that it is difficult to call it "I put a spell on you".
What do you think about the bass not playing/hitting notes with the snare drum?
