Anyone have any fills for cake's cover of I will survive, im digging the studio bassline but would like to add some more on if possible..anyone got anything?

I've played that one before. I'm thinking the typical pent minor is the deal on that one if I remember. Cool progression. Make something up. Tab? Don't have a clue. Just play it. Listen and play it. Make something up within the structure. Lots of stuff there to mess with.

That Cake tune has an awesome bass line. I'd like to get it myself.
Here's another I Will Survive bass line that is probably close to the original. Maybe it can help you figure it out.

Are you looking for the bassline itself or made up fills to go along with it? We've played that cover for several years now and I generally just play it as is.

yea i kno how to play it the normal way, but was watching a live version on youtube and he throw some different fills in....ive worked out a few fills in the last few days...im getting there

That's me playing Cake's I Will Survive. I throw a LOT of fills in there. I don't recommend using that many fills in a live band setting but you can use a few of them for inspiration.

theres also a few mistakes. I have no idea what I was playing since all of those fills are improvised. But just use your ears.

I use the minor and major pentatonic scale.
