Hey guys,

Does anyone have "is there any love in your heart" by Kravitz? Can't find it here or on Songsterr.

Thanks!

It starts in A for sure, and the main chords are F G A, C D-
Great bass playing for sure, would love to see an accurate tab.
The dude who recorded that album did a great job on all the songs.

^That's about 98.5% accurate note-for-note - not including typos. You'd have to be a masochist or have a photographic memory to memorize all that.

The transcription is good for nicking licks but a song like this is really an improvisational playground. If after listening to this song you don't have any idea how to approach it as an 'improvisational playground' then you are really missing out on one of the best things about being a bass player. Songs like this, and like Led Zep's Lemon Song (which Lenny kinda, how should we say... 'paid tribute to' during the key change) give us a chance for our playing to step forward a bit and share some of the spotlight.

If you need help improvising in this style, try watching some of Scotty D's videos. Here's an appropriate one:

And don't ask about the glove^. You'd only be the zillionth person to do so. He had his hand severed by a Sith Lord back in the day and now must wear a prosthesis.

Good luck, enjoy, any ?'s feel free...
