There are several song I would like tabbed. With working full time and other activities, I just don't have the time to work them out myself.
If anyone is interested let me know and I will give you a list of the songs I need. I can pay via pay pal.

Jeez... You know, you shouldn't go paying for it until you've at least tried getting it for free... What are the tunes?

And when all else fails, listen to the songs and try to play along with them.

Hey Joe

Here is tab a like but I dont like it so much...

http://www.bassmasta.net/h/hendrix,_jimi/142637.html

I play it by walking up 4 notes (open A, B, B#, C to begin with) to each of C, G, D, A then riffing on the E

Sorry, but it's pretty depressing if you need to pay someone to tab these two songs.

Re: Hey Joe, the tab posted is mostly right, but with that song you can get a little wild at the end of the progression as the song gets more hectic near the end. I sometimes play the little lick after you hit the E an octave up. Hey Joe is definitely a song you can spice up rhythmically between the chord tones.

The first note in the walk is the C, then chromatically up to the G, then up to the D, then the A, then the E. If you're walking up to the C, you're not playing it correctly. That part is supposed to double the guitar and drums. Sounds pretty crappy if you don't.

(Oh, and you had your B/B# mixed up Fishhed, it's A Bb B C, B# is the same pitch as C.)

Sorry about the mix up

Sorry you are right - thats what I get for writing it from memory instead of playing it once. So it should be

Root:C, then walk up E, F, F#, Root: G - B, C, C#, Root etc.

Thanks.

:-)

Think you for your input. I’m sure it will help me.

Depressing? Probably. I’ve been playing 8 months, with no musical background at all.
I am a pediatric surgeon, hence, I don’t have time to learn all the songs I would like to. My group plays for the children we care for. They don’t really care if I’m good, they just want to feel normal and forget they are in the hospital for a little while. I want to play songs I like as well.

I don’t have time nor a trained ear, hence my posting. I didn’t realize I would be ridiculed for being a beginner who needs help.

Good luck to you. That's a really great cause

I usually don't pay attention to tabs, but boy it sure seems easier to read actual music as opposed to decifering tabs
I don't mean to offend people who use them, I'm completely confused on to play them quickly and find the timing.

As far as timing - I just listen to the song.

That's how I perfer to learn songs just listen. But tabs still look like a complete waste. it's easier just to learn how to read.
sorry , I don't want to bring up that age old arguement.

Bassmasta and 911tabs are definitely two excellent sources of tablature. If you don't care about spending money on software, I'd recommend guitarpro. It shows you tablature and sheet music at the same time as playing the corresponding audio part, which can help improve your reading ability and sense of pitch at the same time.

If you have GuitarPro, here is an OK version of Alison:

http://www.911tabs.com/link/?3378936

The beginning is wrong and there are a few wrong notes, but it's easy to fix. And being that you don't have much time, I think GuitarPro will help you learn it quicker.

Give me a little time and I will fix it and send you a link.

I repaired the GuitarPro version of Alison linked in my last post and now it's much better. Here are links to the files:

Notation and Tab

Notation Only

GuitarPro file

Trei, I hope your band is changing the lyrics to this song before singing it to sick children!

Good for you and a good cause, but those two songs are ones you could figure out with a few minutes and your bass in your hands regardless of your lack of musical background or experience. Sorry, but regardless of the cause, it is a little upsetting seeing people take the "easy way out" with music so often. It's one of the reasons modern pop music has gotten so crappy. (Cursed autotune).

Good luck.
