Nirvana TAB

I need to know the real Bass TAB for Come As You Are. I have seen 3 different versions. So please if u know the real version please tell me. I don't wanna screw up a classic song.

In those examples you put, the 1st and 2nd, are the same thing, just that the one on the A stirng is one octave higher.

The 3rd and 4th examples, are exaclty the same.

by the way, there is no such thing as real tab man...Te only real thing here, is your desperate need for learning basic theory man. You need a lesson or explanation reaaaal bad.

seing as the chord structure is E then D
1 and 2 cannot be right since they are B and A

either 3 or 4 are correct for the main riff, although its easier (for me ) to move between later parts using open d, therefore pattern 3

better to listen to the song . Thats what I did when I played it at 1st, then i added my own twists and turns . I only go to tabs if i cant get a copy!

well, this is going to throw a wrench into your whole system. if you start with 7-7-8-9 on the "A" string, you'd be playing it as the tab states, but it will sound 1 whole step higher than the cd. if you want to play it as it sounds on your "A" string, you'd have to play 5-5-6-7. or if you tune 1/2-step down (to Ab), you'd play 6-6-7-8. if you tune 1 step up, you'd play 3-3-4-5. we can do this all day long. whatever you choose, make sure you and the guitarist play it in the same key...

In my opinion the tab on this site is close - at least it's where I play it at on the neck.

its 7-7-8-9 you have to tune all of your strings down a whole step(DGCF).thats how it is in the Nirvana book I have and it sounds right when played with the CD.
