MacDaddy's is a 2-voice version and mine is the one sightreaders would probably prefer.
About the "Let ring": That's how it's played on the album and also in MacDaddy's version.
IMO MacDaddy's version should have the rests in both voices to be 100% correct. At least a 16th on beat 1 of top voice. (And some would write an 8th rest on beat 4½ of measure1 and an 8th on beat 1 of measure 2.)
It's up to the topic starter which one he likes more as a tattoo.

| | | First of all great idea, please post a picture when it's done
I don't know the song, and haven't gotten a chance to look at it, but if I were you I'd try to write the nodes into a piece of software and listen to it yourself. That way you can see if it's what you really want. I'm sure the nodes are correct, but I really think you should check it out with your own ears first.
You can write the nodes in here http://www.noteflight.com/demo for example |

| | | | I was able to play frizzle's pdf through a program I found called pdf to music pro. It sounded great! I was not able to play MacDaddy's though. Its saved a jpg. I was able to convert it top pdf but the player does not recognize it. It says it cannot be processed because it does not contain any exploitable music data and that it may not have been generated through music software. I would say this is because it has been converted a couple times. MacDaddy, was yours generated through music not generation software and if so do you have a pdf copy you could shoot my way? I would love to hear your version too.
And yes, I will absolutely be posting a pic of the tattoo once it is completed. Its been almost a year since my last tattoo and I am anxious for some more ink and after listening to frizzle's transcription I am getting excited!
Thanks again to everyone for all the help. I cannot repeat or iterate this enough. Whenever I am asked about the tattoo I will be giving you guys some props.
EDIT:
I seen your last post MacDaddy. That is exactly what I am looking for. Is that the jpg file you posted? It sounded just like the song. The only question I have is that it played the intro twice. Is that intentional and if so, can I cut it down to a single intro (I hope that makes sense)? Watching the counter as it plays, I would like for it to stop at the 8th second if that helps an understanding of my previous statement about it playing the intro twice.

Not familiar with the song, but if the real intro goes through twice, you can just put a repeat sign at the end of the staff like the one pictured below. That way the tat only has to go through the notes once.

| | | | There are two reasons I was asking about it being played twice. The first is because I would only like the intro played once and the second is to be able to shorten the tattoo. I am putting it on the edge of my forearm that already has an ambigram on it so space is limited. |

I looped the audio only (not the transcription) just for ease of listening since it was so short. I will send you a PDF tomorrow. The transcription does not show a repeat on it, so you're good. |

I figured I'd go ahead and post it here so everybody can confirm it one last time.
