Ive got the dots for it if thats any use?

Its the Billy Strayhorn arrangement that Duke Ellington did.

Solo written out as well. (not that i ever play it as written...:-) )

Nevermind, it turns out my friend had a whole book of Duke Ellington hahaha. Anyone want a scanned copy of this song? It's not a tab though.

if its different than alberto's yeah,for sure........does that book include solitude,my favorite duke tune

A good exercise for you is to take the Aebersold recording from the ELLINGTON set (vol 10? It's one of the early ones) and transcribe it.

You can isolate the bass from the piano so all you're hearing is drums and bass, so makes it easy. Plus you've got teh chords. Plus it's Ron Carter on bass. Transcribe that and your bass playing and understanding of the song will go up a notch or two...

This is probably a stupid question but, Alberto's? And I wouldn't know; the book wasn't mine so I photocopied the pages to Satin Doll and gave it back.
