Shining - Exit sun, A very hard req.

The song 'exit sun' just the riff that kicks in around 1:50. Even just the key its in would help. I've been cursed with a terrible ear so, I'd have to scale my neck up and down to get the right note.

Here ya go:

Hope that helps, the riff reminded me a lot of Hysteria by Muse. And in answer to your other question, it's based around Am/A blues scale with chromatic notes.

If its a book, where did you buy it?

Or are you just really good?

I can do the rythm perfectly fine, I just CANNOT hear notes at ALL, I knew it was some scale doing down...but...thats it....

You're lucky, I've been trying forever to play by ear and just gave up after a few months...

The trick is to hear the intervals, which is relatively easy when you think that the riff uses a lot of open A notes.

I would encourage you not to give up, try this site:

and try the intervals section. That will be a good starting point

James
