It took 15 hours for me to download it.

I downloaded and followed the instructions and now have bassmasta.net available to me on my local drive in all its previous glory!

| | | | Bassmasta gone...boo
Downloaded the torrent myself, I was wondering about that this morning, when I was trying to find some NES tabs to interject real quick into a private party tonight. |

I've love to see more of the tab at once and be able to copy/paste but the monthly fee is too much for me...if that was for 6 months, I'd be all about it! |

| | | | Songsterr is OK for some stuff but I've found the bass tabs have a lot to be desired. For example take Alice Cooper I'm 18, the bass tab in songsterr don't sound anything like the actual song. I hit the correct tab button and it wanted me to create an account. No thanks... I mean if the tabs were correct I might join up because it may be worth it, but not the way it is now...
I principle I agree with a site like songsterr, but if I didn't know better I might get all confused trying to learn some of the songs from there.

I like the fact that you can play the midi along with the TAB so you can get a sense of the rhythm of the song. It's also helpful to hear the other instruments so you can hear how the bass fits into the song. |

It's almost comical how screwed up some of the charts are out there for I Want You Back.

I used to use Bass Camera a lot, but got tired of the way he writes his TABs. He uses non-traditional symbols that makes it hard to figure out what's going on. For instance, he uses an "L" a lot, which I think means two notes tied togehter. Maybe it stands for "Long"? I don't know. Anyway, I don't think it's worth the $30 to register for it.
Songsterr, on the other hand, has more TABs (of varying quality) and offers Midi for all the instruments, which is really useful. |
