Sundown by Gordon Lightfoot

This is really embarassing to have to ask for this, but I can't find the BASS tab for Sundown by Gordon Lightfoot. I've been searching for an hour and have nothing to show for it. I'm thinking that 1) it's not a very popular song - or - 2) it's SO stinking easy.

My band which normally does praise and worship music has been asked to do an evening of oldies at a local grill. Sundown is one of those songs. I'm slammed at work and I don't have time to figure it out myself.

I'm kinda outside my comfort level, but that can be a good chance to learn some new stuff and stretch a bit.

I can't help on the tab, and I haven't heard the song in years. I did play it in the bars back when it was a hit, and my memory is that the bass part on the record is very simple (all or almost all root notes) and stays in minor pentatonic (blues box). If you play at all by ear, and it sounds like you do, I think literally five or ten minutes work will get you there, and you'll own it more than you would with tab.

Thanks Jim, you're right. I worked on it about ten minutes and pretty much get it.

My lack of confidence is showing! Ha!
