Sorry, it's a hammer-on, Bob. So you play the note on 5 (a D) by plucking it as usual, then (assuming you're right-handed, but switch this if not) your pinky or ring finger on your left hand comes down hard enough on the 7th fret (an E) to make the note sound without being plucked.
