Tab/ Score Generator Software For MAC???

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I UTFSF but did not find an answer. Looking for something FREE or stupidly cheap. I've been using Guitar Tab v.1.7 on my old PC but I'm ready to retire that computer. I'm still lugging it around solely for the tab program. GuitarTab does all I need- takes my tab notation, turns it into regular staff which is indirectly teaching me how to read. It's similar to TabIt, making midi out of the tab etc. though I don't think TabIt creates staff sheets. Unfortunately neither of these free programs are written for Apples.

So, what do the Mac-wielding denizens of TalkBass use? I can't afford to purchase a composition program, and all the ones I've seen are too complex for my needs.

Thanks

I use TuxGuitar. It reads GuitarPro files, plays midi, and writes staff and tab. All around usefull program that works well on my aging G4 PowerBook and it's free.
