Two Tabs for a First Show

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone,
I'm a young one (attending first year of high school), but now I've got more than a year of bass playing and have the basics down well. So lately I've been more devoted to my playing and have started to learn some great lines. My first worthwhile show is coming up, and I'll be playing four songs, but here's the problem. First of all, I'm not much of a writer, second of all, I'm not much of an observer.

Two songs that I'm playing for the show are a funk cover of Steve Miller's Band Abracadabra and Metallica's For Whom the Bell Tolls. With Abracadabra, I'd like to have a funkier line to go with the song change-up, something that stands-out more and is really groovy. With Metallica, I'd like to learn that sweet Trujillo solo that he does before the song (it's just too nice, and the song would be kind of lacking for bass without some kind of intro...). Could some of you help me out with some tips/tabs? Thanks for your time!

I suggest you do the cliff burton version from the 1985 or 1986 video

I liked that one but not quite as much as Trujillo's intro. Do you think anyone has a tab of that right?

Anyone? I'd really like to get this solo, but if that's not happening then I'll try out Cliff's.
